Lucinda Law, set up WITHIN in 2016 with a vision to connect people to the art, biodiversity and well-being of nature. Her signature style of botanical art rooted in mixed-media expressed in analog or digital presentation is enriched by her creative process of incorporating narratives of nature into the artwork which endears people to the biodiversity and benefits of nature. She has taught over 210 botanical art workshops and held creative retreats for city-dwellers to experience a fuller side of arts and nature in nature-endowed destinations.

Botanical Art In Watercolour & Mixed Media Workshop
Cultivate and deepen your joyful curiosity for the nature world from an arts perspective. For each of the immersive botanical art workshop, you'll be tasked to achieve a set of group and personalised creative challenges and technical aims. You'll be given a progress worksheet to chart your progress for the individual workshops and across the weeks. Through a series of demonstrations and one-on-one guidance by Lucinda, you will learn basic observation, photography, illustration and watercolour skills to improve on your technical presentation. You’ll also acquire a range of holistic and creative tips to develop your confidence in arts and enrich your attunement with nature.
Ideal for beginners and all levels of art practitioners who wish to cultivate a nature-inspired art practice using watercolour, mixed media techniques and deepen their appreciation of nature. Classes are held at Pollen (Terrace) at Gardens by the Bay.

2-Day Plant Taxonomy & Art Course at Singapore Botanic Gardens
Specially crafted for nature lovers and botanical art enthusiasts, this two-day plant taxonomy-meets-art course on 2 & 3 November 2019 weekend is helmed by botanical artist Lucinda Law of Within and botanist/naturalist Bian Tan who will take you on a full immersion of nature and delve into the world of plant taxonomy and botanical art. You’ll learn to identify and draw native and exotic plants at the Singapore Botanic Gardens, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with a Lucinda, botanical artist and Bian who is a trained botanist. This powerful combination of art and science approach will enrich your experience of the botanical world and empower you to draw what you see and observe nature in a way that will get you see nature like never before.
