Happenings In May

To say May was a busy month for us at the studio is an understatement! The highlights were two back-to-back milestone events for us : firstly the inaugural Faber-Castell Art Festival from 27 May to 4 June 2017 whereby Lucinda exhibited two Mixed Media Paintings and sold out the Floral & Foliage Illustration & Mixed Media Workshop at the Marina Square Central Atrium.

Secondly, Lucinda was invited as an Artist in Residence at Multiply: A Majestic Playground - organised by Keepers x Straits Clan - at the New Majestic Hotel on 27 and 28 May 2017 weekend that saw a gathering of over 50 of Singapore’s best independent creatives. Our team spent four intensive days to paint and install our pop-up Botanical Atelier where the live and painted botanical subjects fascinated many visitors. We are really thrilled with the positive responses and interest in our nature-led art services.

That Saturday, we also launched the Art of Nature Journeys: The Creative Retreat of Edible Flowers that is taking place from 5 to 9 August 2017 in Chiang Mai. Queen Sirikit Botanical Gardens has come onboard as our exclusive Venue Partner and we look forward to the private guided tours and activities planned by  the gracious team at the Gardens. Thanks to Mamonde and Pin Tea for sponsoring wonderful gifts for our guests at the Launch too. Don’t miss this unique travel opportunity to experience the warm hospitality, rich landscapes, food and culture of northern Thailand.  Four more seats are available for this amazing trip of a lifetime!

In May we also launched our Art & Tea Series that offer unique botanical art experiences combined with delectable high tea offerings in intimate luxe settings. The first of the series took place at the elegant Lighthouse Restaurant which was formerly a working lighthouse, located at the top of the Fullerton Hotel, one of Singapore’s heritage landmarks. Our guests enjoyed the panorama views of the Marina Bay area and the exclusive space to enjoy the botanical workshop of painting beautiful orchid flowers, followed by a sumptuous high tea.
